Stop saying "El Salvadorian" WTF?

Ok, I had it with people mispronouncing and calling me "El Salvadorian". I saw it in the Gizmodo article about Salvadorian inmates would sneak in cell phones up their arse. The correct term is Salvadoran Salvadorian, or Salvadorean take a pick but not "El Salvadorian". You don't hear people going round and saying hey your United States of American or hey you Great Britain. "El" in spanish means THE, which means when you call somebody "El Salvadorian" your saying "The Salvadorian". If you don't believe me look it up in your favorite dictionary site and you will see. Anyways it just ticks me off that people say that and if you say in front of me, well beware because I will give this same long speech.
